Searching for a house big enough to fit 8 adults and 7 kids was not easy, especially if you were looking for something that didn’t look like a 70s B&B. This house was great, it had enough downstairs space so 4 (sometimes) wild boys could run around and have lightsaber fights. However a bedroom was also spacious enough for all of them to share. The house is lovely. Also for us with kids it meant it was comfortable not stuffy! 4 bathrooms, a fantastic ground floor one with walk in shower and big bath; 2 en-suites and a bathroom upstairs on the 3rd floor. I would suggest if you like a shower /need a powerful shower you avoid the en-suites and go straight for the ground floor bathroom. Kerry was a great owner, helpful and providing the answers to any questions before hand, her accommodating to our needs (especially when one family’s car broke down and we had to wait for tow truck! on the last day) Little touches like new sheets, Rocky road, milk, lots of tea and coffee and loo rolls make a huge difference! The kids had a great time, there is a big garden area, which in summer would likely be great for them to play in, seemed a bit of a Sun trap. If it had been warmer weather, think we would have spent time put there, perfect for the kids to run around whilst the adults barbecue with some cider or gin! (And maybe a hot tub!)
